Vanessa is a 'bigger picture' person and has particular skills in planning and communications management. Vanessa founded CProject after working as a ‘client’ in industry for nearly 10 years and hence brings a very strong client focus into the picture.
Her skills are equally balanced in strategic communications planning, combined with an exceptional grasp of the tactical aspects of complex implementation programmes. Over the years, she has worked with many major blue chip clients (Colgate-Palmolive, BOC, ICI, Zeneca, Pirelli and SEEDA), providing support on specific projects, as well as smaller businesses, where she acts more as their out-sourced marketing director.
She has considerable experience in helping clients to develop communications plans that deliver results and which add value to their brand. With a media degree and journalism/publishing background, Mary was a perfect choice when the business started to expand its writing skills in 1992. She has gone from strength to strength and is responsible for all major publishing projects, as well as being our quality and service guru.
‘Getting the message to the target audience’ is her speciality and she is particularly experienced in finding the right angle to turn a good article into a great one which is well received. For this reason she also runs several successful PR accounts for businesses in the South East.
Mary has strong project management skills and ensures that projects are produced on time and within budget whilst being creatively exciting. She works well as part of a team and also independently - an essential attribute when producing projects on behalf of third parties. Her most recent job was in Corporate Communications at J.Walter Thompson’s head office in New York. The role included working on the rebranding of JWT, writing their global PR strategy, external and internal communications: announcing new campaigns, hires, new initiatives, newsletters, website content and intranet.

In 1997, following the birth of her third child, she studied for a post graduate certificate in education and spent the next eight years teaching science in secondary school.
Now that her children are nearly grown, she straddles both disciplines and in addition supports community inspired projects. Sarah met Vanessa in 2000, and they have since worked together helping to co ordinate the fund raising and media relations programme for two major charitable fund raising programmes; they have subsequently worked on a number of projects together.
